In India, Cytopathology is considered as a separate Branch of Pathology for Research, Teachimg, Training, Study, Practice, Academic Meetings, CMEs, Conferences, Updates, Publications, etc.
The Indian Academy of Cytologists is the main body in India dealing in this field and the Indian Academy of Cytologists would like to remain as an independent body.It may be noted that the Indian Academy of Cytologists has been affiliated to the EFCS.
Hence we in India would like Cytopathology to be considered as a separate branch or subspeciality.
